Lumiia is the result of evolution over 26 years of experience in the manufacture of laser equipment for medical purposes.
• In 1986, we first manufactured and introduced Biolaser in Argentina.
• In 1990, we continued with the “Megon Laser” in Spain and Argentina.
• In 1999, we launched the Synus Laser in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico
• Since early 2008, the Lumiia Laser was in Argentina, Latin America, the USA and Europe.
At Lumiia, we focus on innovative projects int he laser field.
While laser technology applied to medicine has advanced steadily since its early years, we wanted to develop a revolutionary idea in the way we work with lasers in both the office and in the operating room.
The idea was to design software that integrates the operation of a diagnostic imaging module on the same equipment.
Although monitoring by ultrasound or Doppler ultrasound was already a generally accepted method for the medical staff, this new situation changed the way that the professional addresses laser treatment, thanks to the ease of handling both technologies simultaneously and the exceptional increase in operational security that this implies.
Based on this principle, readily accepted by the medical and institutional sector, within a few years we were able to develope a complete line of products for different specialties, from vascular surgery, urology and oncology.
We currently manufacture in our laboratory in the neighborhood of Belgrano, in Buenos Aires, all of our laser equipment with embedded diagnostic modules for use in various specialties.
